Risk Disclaimer

Important information about simulations, assumptions, DeFi risks and user responsibility.

DeFiRiskSim is an educational and analytical tool. It is designed to help users explore possible outcomes of DeFi strategies before making their own decisions.

The platform does not provide financial advice, investment advice, trading advice, legal advice, tax advice or accounting advice. Nothing on this website should be treated as a recommendation to buy, sell, borrow, lend, stake, restake, provide liquidity, open a hedge or use any DeFi protocol.

Simulations are not predictions

All simulations, calculations, examples, projections and estimates shown in DeFiRiskSim are hypothetical.

A simulation can help you understand how a strategy may behave under selected assumptions. It cannot predict future prices, future yields, future borrowing rates, protocol changes, liquidity conditions, exchange behavior or market events.

Actual results may be very different from simulated results.

DeFi involves serious risk

Decentralized finance can involve significant risk, including but not limited to:

  • loss of capital;
  • smart contract bugs or exploits;
  • oracle failures;
  • liquidation;
  • impermanent loss;
  • depeg events;
  • slashing risk;
  • bridge risk;
  • protocol governance changes;
  • unexpected borrowing rate changes;
  • liquidity shortages;
  • exchange outages;
  • wallet mistakes;
  • network congestion;
  • failed or delayed transactions.

Some risks may not be visible before they happen.

You are responsible for your own decisions

You are solely responsible for reviewing every strategy, protocol, token, pool, contract, transaction and assumption before using real funds.

Before entering any DeFi position, you should verify live protocol parameters directly from the relevant protocol interface, documentation, block explorer or other trusted source.

You should never rely only on a simulator when making financial decisions.

No custody and no trade execution

DeFiRiskSim does not custody user funds and does not manage portfolios on behalf of users.

The platform is a modeling and analysis workspace. Users remain responsible for any transaction they choose to sign in their own wallet or execute through any third-party protocol, exchange or application.

Data and assumptions may be incomplete

Market data, protocol data, APY estimates, funding rates, liquidity conditions and borrowing costs can change quickly.

Even when data appears accurate at the time of simulation, it may become outdated. Some values may be estimated, delayed, incomplete or unavailable depending on the market, chain, protocol or external data source.

Users should confirm important numbers before acting.

No guarantee of availability or accuracy

DeFiRiskSim may contain errors, interruptions, delays or incorrect assumptions. The platform may be updated, changed, limited or discontinued at any time.

We do not guarantee that any simulation result is complete, accurate, current or suitable for your personal financial situation.

Use at your own risk

By using DeFiRiskSim, you acknowledge that cryptocurrency and DeFi activities are risky and that you may lose some or all of the capital involved in a strategy.

You agree that you are using the platform for educational and informational purposes and that all final decisions remain your own responsibility.

If you are unsure whether a DeFi strategy is appropriate for you, consider speaking with a qualified professional before using real funds.

DeFi strategies usually connect more than one risk surface. These pages help you move from one assumption set to the next without reducing the app to a single calculator.
